Interventions
At This Way Therapy, we make therapy fun, practical, and meaningful for every child. Our sessions are designed to build confidence, independence, and participation across all areas of daily life.

Motor Skills & Coordination
We support your child’s ability to move, control, and coordinate their body with confidence. This includes activities such as balance, handwriting, using scissors, catching a ball, or managing buttons and zips — helping build strength, precision, and independence.

Sensory Processing
Every child experiences the world differently. We help children who may be overly sensitive or under-responsive to touch, sound, movement, or light. Through sensory-based strategies, we support regulation, focus, and comfort in daily environments.

Self-Care & Daily Living
From dressing and brushing teeth to toileting and feeding, we help children learn and practise the everyday skills they need to become more independent at home and in the community. Sessions are tailored to match your child’s current ability and family routines.

Emotions & Behaviour
We guide children in understanding their emotions and developing positive ways to manage them. Using regulation strategies, visual supports, and modelling, we help children feel calm, confident, and ready to learn and connect with others.

Play & Social Skills
Play is the foundation of learning and relationships. We use play-based approaches to build imagination, turn-taking, communication, and social understanding — helping your child connect, share, and enjoy time with others.

Learning & Cognition
We work on the thinking skills that support learning — such as attention, memory, planning, and problem-solving. These skills help your child succeed at school, manage routines, and build the confidence to tackle new challenges.

Teens & Life Skills
As children grow into teenagers, therapy focuses on practical independence — things like planning and organisation, personal hygiene, cooking, time management, and preparing for work or further study. We help young people build confidence for the next stage of life.

Community Access
We support participation in real-world settings such as playgrounds, shops, or sports. Community-based sessions help children generalise skills from therapy into everyday environments, promoting confidence, safety, and inclusion.

Assistive Technology
We assess and recommend tools or equipment that make daily life easier — from pencil grips and sensory tools to Mobility devices or specialised seating. We ensure each recommendation fits your goals and supports independence.
